I had a workmate whose surname was O'Connor, he changed it to Connor as he was a Rangers supporter.
He was from the borders and his brother either owned or part owned QOS at some point.

It's got to be Rangers. Their fans are completely arrogant and disgusting. The old Queen would be ashamed of them. Celtic are bad too but in a less aggressive way and not so intent on causing offence. I realise that I come from Leith so may be biased but I like to think not.

Think you'll be copping a ban for that. No scouser would ever mock Hillsborough or use it as a way to score points. Say what you want about that lot across the park, but when something happens in the city, colours don't matter. It could have been literally any club in the country that happened to and the way it was used to demonise all of us is why nobody from Liverpool would ever engage in that.

Yeah Liverpool was back to a couple of generations ago filled with ex-Irish who moved here.

So traditionally, Liverpool probably had one of the highest, if not the highest presence of Catholics in England, many of us, myself included, have Irish surnames.

Liverpool is still littered with Irish nowadays, Central Liverpool may aswell be mini Belfast to be honest.
