I know that, but was wondering why write that ? Do we have to write like a txt msg. or like we are all illiterate.

I did genuinely wonder if it is another are/our thing, because the majority that put 'are' don't even realise it's wrong.

I think it makes us look a bit thick/kopite tbh.

Made sense in the context given that he was quoting what was said. But then again, is it really any different from writing something like "dunno"?

That said, it does my head in when I see people (usually on Facebook or text message) write "yano", "yeno" or "ano".
 
When the smoking ban came in, announcement on the P.A.

"Goodison Park is now a non-smoking venue, anyone found smoking in the premisis WILL be ejected from the ground".

Quick as a flash somebody stood up and shouted "Quick! Someone give Neville a ciggy!"
