At least it's an opinion, why not give us your take on it?
Do you not think he deserves a chance following a racist remark?
You've had experience of that, you were educated about it on here, allowed to explain yourself, and you apologised for it.
I think you of all people should be benevolent over the matter.
Or maybe his ex Celtic connections are affecting your judgement as per.

Surely if a convicted Cocaine dealer can get another chance, Malky McKay should?

With some of the PC folk you get the feeling they're more angry at someone saying nasty words than someone who actually supplied a drug that can ruin peoples lives.

Meanwhile, down the Leagues, Fort William have given up their Highland League status. After finishing bottom they were due to play North Junior Champions Banks o’Dee in a play off but are saying they are unable to raise a team due to Highland League registration rules. They were always likely to finish bottom , not helped by having to play all their home games away. Banks o’Dee are an ambitious Aberdeen based club , they’ve had some good cup runs in recent years and are good enough to be challenging for the Highland League title next season.
There was a good little film about Banks O’Dee on A View From The Terrace a few weeks ago, having said that there’s a good feature every week. Best football programme on the telly.

Pretty soon there won't be any teams from the Highlands left in the Highland league

You could say it’s been miss named since two Inverness clubs and Ross County left and the base moved east , but there are still 5 Highland region clubs left and Brora were champions the previous two years. Fort have struggled to attract players away from Shinty and really have only survived by bringing in players on loan and from further south. But there is a wee concern that the Aberdeen based Junior clubs could start to pick off the weaker traditional Highland League clubs in coming years.

The issue with FW goes back a couple of decades, and its not really shinty related. Back in the 90s, a new stadium was built near the town centre to cater for football and shinty, but FW wanted to stay at Claggan Park as the rent at the new stadium was extortionate. The council allowed claggan park (and several others) to fall into disrepair and didn't do anything to help local clubs and players. As a result, FW started recruiting players from glasgow to come up and play, but there was no cohesion and no opportunity for local players to train. Players from Glasgow also werent willing to drive 3 hours each way to train during the week.

No pitches. No facilities. No interest from the council. End result is a club that represented the second biggest town in the highlands, but struggled to get a team on the pitch.

Interesting name being linked with the Hibs job, decent pundit, awful manager IMO.
He did a decent job at Sunderland, and a not so good one at Ipswich.

It would be fun having such a confrontational/abrasive character, involved in the scottish footballing scene.:D

But he didn't do a decent job for Sunderland once they got into the Premiership, that is why he got sacked.
Winning promotion to the Premiership does not make you a good manager same goes with your hero Wilder, he got first season bounce with Sheffield Utd then got found out big time.
Winning promotion from the Championship makes you a good Championship manager or to put itanother way, these cows are small, but those cows are far away.
