I knew we needed the 2nd goal when we were well on top in the 1st half, also during the spell we had in the 2nd half when we were getting a lot of joy down the left. Criminal defending for their first goal. Hopefully Utd go up because I think they'll be stronger next season. We've had some big clubs to contend with over the past few years. Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd - would be good to have a season with clubs on the same level as us so we can have a better chance of automatic promotion. Probably lose more players in the summer and have to bring a few in, maybe see a few more academy graduates make a mark!

If Bairns hadn't missed a sitter in the second half the game would have been over. As it went on their defence became a bit edgy and Murray, for one, gave them a torrid time. A game of two halves.

It's tough being a Falkirk fan, in the space of 2 years we've managed to blow the Scottish cup final against a 10 man caley thistle, lost the playoff final badly from a winning position, and lost the playoff semi final from a pretty comfortable winning position.

And people think it's hard being an Everton fan lol

there's always next year......

I saw Dundee Utd. v Morton 7 times this season (3 Utd wins, 1 'Ton win, 3 draws) and Falkirk v Morton 5 times (0 Falkirk wins, 2 'Ton wins, 3 draws) and over those 12 games I thought that Falkirk were the stronger team, even though they didn't have any victories against us. I also thought that Falkirk were the better team over the 2 legs against Utd., but Utd. took their chances when they had them. I have an awful lot of pals who are Falkirk fans and feel for them today, but like myself, they should hope that they can build on a what's been a decent season and come back stronger next season.

Not really sure if I'd like Utd. to win the play-off final or the premiership team. Utd. will be a tougher proposition next season, so might be better for the likes of Falkirk, Morton or a rejuvenated St. Mirren if they went up, on the other hand, ICT or Hamilton will have a bigger budget than all or most of the teams in the championship and would be pre-season favourites to win the title, who knows?

Roll on the pre-season friendlies and League cup group stages as I'm bored already. :(

Try being a Morton and Everton fan, that's hardcore. ;)

Absolutely, there's always next year!! I do think that we were the better team than United over the 2 games, they just had more of a threat up front, Simon Murray proved to be the difference (assisted by some generous defending), he's a handful though! I agree, it will be a competitive league next year, I expect St Mirren to challenge. We have a hell of a lot of players out of contract at the end of this month, so we'll see what happens there!

Yep that's pretty hardcore!! The low points will only make any high points feel better

A great memory for me was back in 1965 at Brockville when my dad and I saw the Bairns beat Celtic 6-2 on a wet Wednesday night. Two years on Celtic were European champions. Johnny Graham was the boy that night and he signed for Hibs not long after.

Awesome, yeah I witnessed some great games vs Celtic at Brockville too (and some crap ones), 4-3 win when Simon Stainrod scored a diving header from what seemed an impossible angle. I remember us losing a thriller 5-4 as well in the last minute, which is much more Falkirk-like lol

I wouldn't mind seeing the back of Hamilton. I'm still in therapy after Hibs lost out to them three long years ago!
One of my least favourite grounds in Scotland, but think they will be weaker than Dundee Utd. next season, so would probably prefer to go there twice next season than Tannadice.

Same, they will lose the likes of Ali Crawford if they come down so they will be weaker. I can't imagine Dundee Utd losing their better players even if they don't get promoted

Agree plus Utd. have already signed James Keatings and Billy King to add to their squad for next season.
