Not sure how that's calculated.

Well he's not a massive ego-maniac and a fraud for one.

Gerrard's CV is not actually that great. He won 1 trophy in 3 years out of 9 available. Got humiliated in Europe. Got outdone by Neil Lennon. I'm not saying Van Bronckhurst is anything special, but even if he's average he is probably an upgrade on Gerrard.

Let's have it right as well, if you have the biggest budget (or top 2) in the league, almost by the law of averages you will win more trophies than 1 in 9. I mean compare Gerrards record to Walter Smith, who was by no means a top manager, but again light years ahead of Gerrard.

Well Gerrard won 1 trophy singular, and for the rest of it watched Celtic continue to dominate, as I'm sure they would have done this season with him remaining in charge. He's jumped before the standard humiliation was dished out to him.
Not too sure about this though the head to heads are going to be crucial this season and that's where the title will be won and lost no doubt about that, I also think Rangers will win their first cup in years this season.

I'm not 100% confident that Celtic will dominate this season. While we can play some decent football from time to time, I feel we're not a physically strong team, and aren't very good at defending set pieces.

I think the newco must be favourites for the title. It remains to be seen if the van Bronkhurst apointment gives the team a boost, and whether he changes the teams style of play. Playing for free kicks and loading the box with big players has worked out pretty well for TRIFC so far.

TBF, rangers were a pub team before he turned up. He reorganised the whole playing side of that midden of a club and made them champions. The heavy lifting was done in the first two seasons.

I cant stand him, but he was very impressive up there. We'll now see if he can do it in a proper league.
