Well I’ve never considered myself a purist , but I’ll be looking out for the game. More of “going back to my routes” than purist. Steak pie, bovril, standing on the terrace watching Highland League football with mates, has often been more attractive this season than trying to find a dodgy feed of us away to WBA or whomever , even in freezing winter conditions.
Cowdenbeath were lucky to scrape through last year, I expect Cove to put them to the sword over two legs, theyre a very attractive attacking team on their day. Generally , the top four Highland League sides are better than the top four Lowland League, but the bottom four Highland League are far worse than bottom four Lowland. Hence why Cove and 3 or 4 others score 100+ goals, the bottom four let in 100+. It’s been a long season for Cove though with their good runs in various cups and postponed fixtures but they should be able to raise their game two more times.
Love a trip up north. Remember going to Turriff in the Scottish cup, cargo on the bus, stop at Forfar for bridies, foot of snow at Turriff, bought more drink in Tesco and buried it in the snow. Nice and chilled for the 5 hour journey home...good times. :D

Maybe
Rumours of FSW leaving Newcastle ?
Would he go there?
I'm not sure
I actually don't hate Brenda as much as I hate slippy, maybe it's all the years I spent listening to the likes of Shearer, Savage, Lawro and our own Lineker telling me that he was the worlds greatest midfielder.

Will be a spectacular appointment or a spectacular failure, had a bet on one of those outcomes...;)

What I'm enjoying about the slippy appointment is the Liverpool fans up here who hate rangers love slippy or did

Naisy committed a couple of right dirty fouls against the Celts yesterday. There is the possibility of retrospective action by the authorities since the ref did nothing at the time.
Most unlike our old boy.

Terrible tackles. That's an old man arriving late in the tackle and determined to leave one on the opponent. He's always been a snide, but masked it better when he was down in England.

I think he and Lafferty were affected by the general nastiness of the occasion. The latter could have caused a riot with his goal celebration in front of the Celtic mob.
Wedenesday evening should be another dignified get-together!
