Scottish football is so rigged to help Celtic win this league, it would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad. Game after game, decision after decision.
What’s interesting though is that thanks to the massive UK-wide interest in our league this season, so many people in England and beyond are calling it out all over social media.
In normal circumstances, Celtic will stroll the league and no one outside of Celtic could care less. A massive club, backed by thousand more armchair, glory-hunting fans, winning a poor competition with ease generates zero interest or respect anywhere else. But now that a team from the pack has given them a run for their money, there is massive exposure. And with that exposure comes scrutiny.
The corruption has been going on for decades. It happened last Saturday and it happened again last night. But at least now people outside of the goldfish bowl and seeing it and calling it for what it is:
Cheating.
We know that they will do everything they can to ensure that Celtic win this league. Celtic have so much power in Scotland that they can’t be allowed NOT to win it.
Hearts lead by a point. But if that lead is still intact on Saturday going into the 95th minute, they will find a way to ensure it doesn’t happen.
Hearts have a budget of about 1/7th of Celtic’s. I would love us to stick it right up them on Saturday.
