They’re complete opposites, not just religiously but politically as well. If preferring the side that isn’t full of racist bastards makes me “a bit kopite,” then so be it.

Lived in Scotland and have visited Glasgow many times, can safely say that plenty of Celtic fans are racist bastards as well.

No doubt, racists exist everywhere. But historically, Rangers have been seen as more institutionally sectarian than Celtic, because that sectarianism was more deeply embedded in the club’s culture and practices, not just among sections of the fanbase.

Yea can’t disagree. Have a few mates who are rangers fans who are generally fairly embarrassed by a lot of their fan’s behaviour and reputation.
Found Scottish football rivalries to be a lot nastier than those south of the border. Even between clubs outside the old firm.
