I don’t understand the Celtic board, if you are under scrutiny from the fans the last thing you need is to replace a proven manager who is stabilising things with a manager with a questionable pedigree from Canadian and US leagues.

Either he was a cheap option or they saw him as a diamond in the rough “look how clever we are to bring him here” strategy, it hasn’t worked.

The whole club needs a massive overhaul not just the squad.

Imo they should have kept M’ON till the summer, a couple of loans in January, during that time do proper diligence on the next manager to start from Pre Season in the Summer.
I honestly can't believe Nancy went there. No win situation for him, no pun intended.

You only bring in a manager like Nancy if he has a whole pre-season to get his methods across. That's what he rightly said yesterday in his press conference.

Just imagine if Martinez had taken over from Moyes in 2013 in November or whatever...imagine the difficulty he'd have had trying to get results straight away with the Dad's Army of possession-resistant dullards Moyes would have left him.

He had to have 6 weeks to show them how to play football on the deck and how to transition.

Nancy has to go, but the Celtic board really should have stuck with O'Neill once they'd reintroduced him. They'd be looking at a title defence right now.

I think that's what it is. 👍

I read on a Celtic fans forum that Nancy had a 48% win record previously. I don't know if that is accurate. If it is, why, in the name of Fleck, would Celtic sign a manager with that record?

It's verging on sabotage. 🙂

Different league, can’t just outspend your opponents by 10x in MLS like Celtic can. Also, frankly, the Celtic job ain’t what it was.

Watching the highlights and looking at the attacking stats, Celtic dominated that match. Some poor finishing, shaky defending and goalkeeping let them down.
