He's a horrible rat him, fit right in.I've thought all along that Muscat will get his chance.
Former player and a manager who can win titles...albeit in Asia and Australasia.

I was thinking the same , They would be better off with Danny Rohl but in fairness to Rohl I think he could do betterMaybe it was the Rangers board who pulled the plug on Gerrard.......having realised that the guy they were about to employ has close family ties with a Serious Organised Crime Gang from Dublin.....
....just saying.

Is it though Eggs? I don't often disagree with you but the place is absolutely toxic atm, the fans are not convinced by the new owners, they appointed Thelwell and Stewart who are proving themselves totally incompetent (Thelwell basically continuing where he left off with us, ) the players are in disarray, their confidence must be absolutely shattered, demo's going on left, right and centre.….not a bad time to join Rangers, I wonder what’s putting managers off![]()

In short mate whichever new manager they choose is going to have to hit the ground running and get instant results, they're going to have to wait until January to have some effect on improving the squad even though I doubt they're going to be throwing much money about even if they have it.
The fans will be looking for someone to come in who at least either has been indoctrinated in the club or is a big enough character with a good record who can handle everything that's going on with assurity and confidence, Martin was like a rabbit in the headlights from the off and everyone but the board and management could see it.
The icing on the cake though with everything going to the wall has to be Thelwell's appointment of his own son as head of recruitment, I mean wtf?
Mate, I understand and respect you have a soft spot for the place but it's going to need a talented manager with a big character to have the confidence to deal with the mess and I don't think there's too many of those going about on the wages that's probably on offer.
@laudo9 what's your thoughts on the names getting thrown about, is there anyone you think could fit the bill?
Is Muscat the man? would you take a chance on Rohl? Is there another name getting banded about within the supporters.
Rangers supporters demand their team challenge in every game in all competitions, it would be far easier a new manager to come in if they were doing that than to deal with the entire mess they're in currently.
I will watch with interest as to what unfolds as I'm sure most of us will.
The swear filter will not allow me to express on here my exact thoughts on Thelwell….it should still be a two horse race, Celtic are also poor and it’s early in the season where a couple of wins will mean status quo returns.
It a good time to go to an Old Firm club when they are at their lowest because it wouldn’t take much to see them back involved. Interesting that a few managers appear to have turned them down.
My view to Thelwell is contrary to most on here, if he’s as good as posters think he’s exactly what Rangers need. As you say, it’s a fascinating watch.
How out of place does he look?
Steve Robinson? He has had St. Mirren punching well above their weight the last couple of seasons, a keen young manager who will have more understanding of the Gers fans than most.Far be it for me to attempt to aid the evil empire but Rangers should look to within Scotland for a new coach. If they can't get McInnes then go down the list for another one with ambitions.
