I'd take him on a 2 year contract if he could tackle.

He's got no other use now to be fair.

No thanks Fergie, you whiskey nosed scrotum neck.

Random rumour started by the Daily Star - who in the same article report we are chasing Luke Garbutt - claiming the deal could go to a tribunal.

There was me thinking he had already signed...

Rodwell could be excellent but he's still young and inexperienced. He'll probably be used sparingly next season.

As for Cahill and Fellaini. Phil Neville is a better and more reliable midfielder than both the players mentioned.

And none of the players mentioned can deputise or even compete with Arteta. Paul Scholes can, in terms of quality and style.

Jesus Christ.

No he cant. Scholes was never a better player than Arteta is now. Arteta can tackle for 1.

When Scholes was good he was one of the best players in THE WORLD. I agree it would be a bad move for him tho, we're not good enough to carry him. Just wouldn't work at all in my opinion.

I think Scholes would be a good option in our new footballing style Moyes has seemed to bring in with Arteta in the middle controlling things. Scholes has never relied on pace or power, so he's happy to sit there and dictate tempo, it would certainly help us at home and would give Arteta another player who can dictate the way we play.

I'd like him here but i highly doubt he will want to leave Manchester United.

I dont think many managers would say no to having Paul Scholes in their squad.

Hes quality even at this stage of his career, would add something to the squad but its not going to happen.

Hes a big Oldham fan, i think if he was to leave Utd he would go to them for his swan song.

Is this our future, buying players coming to the end of their careers?
Scholes tackles are past their sell by date when he lunges in for no reason.
I would rather nurture a young player through than go down this road

Neville proved last season he was the most determined. He was not the best.

Cahill and Fellaini played advanced roles 3/4 of the season, Arteta injured for most.
