bit OTT that like, he would easily find a club back in spain

there would be a queue of Spanish clubs wanting him, until his agent tells them he wants 100k a week.

please do not tell me he would go and play there for 20k a week, if we accepted an offer for him

he is ours for the remainder of his contract.

if silva doesn't want him, we will loan him out BUT STILL PAY HIS HUGE WAGES

To be fair, looking back at his vids, he doesn’t have a great touch or technique even then. I think at the time we were all just watching the goals and nothing more. Seems like the space afforded to him in La Liga compared to here is what’s missing.

Yeah had another look myself and I've got to agree. Unfortunately.

Still think he could be useful as a squad player. Don't care if he's not happy. We're giving you £1m every two months, Sandy; start enjoying it.

He'll be loaned for another two years imo, and we'll be paying 50% of his wages. Then we'll end up selling him before his final season.

Massive, massive mistake signing him.

he's never getting 100k a week anywhere else like but that's down to steve Walsh being an absolute pony, but all he needs is 1 good season on loan then he'll go on a perm transfer again

he's a good player he showed that with Malaga there was just loads of reasons why it never worked at everton

A club signs Sandro for 15m from Everton.
Everton get back their initial investment of about 5m.
Pay Sandro 10m for loss of earnings over the remaining four years of his contract.
His new club pays him 40k per week going forward.
In reality the overall cost of the deal would be much less as Sandro would take a lower figure to return home. The overall deal might not cost any more than 12m.

In todays market the figures are not crazy for a Spanish under 21 international who had one extremely difficult season.

....not sure it’s that simple. If we let him go on a free and give him £1m sweetener, the buying club will give him an attractive signing fee (£2m) to compensate the drop in salary. Not a bad time to be an ordinary footballer.

It really is a matter of taking a hit and cutting our losses as best as possible on the likes of Ramírez and Klaassen. Mirallas is another problem.

Anyone thinking we will get £15m for him is on something stronger than coffee. He will never get his wages matched in Spain so we will loan him out, paying most of his wages, he will run down his contract and leave on a free when contract finishes, move to some average team that was his level all along.

This scenario will be repeated for all our so called "deadwood", we will end up with them out on loan, us paying most of the wages, them running the contracts down and leaving for free. Would love to actually sell the players, get some dosh and buy players better suited to Marcos style but the wages these are on I think it will prove very difficult to shift them.

You are making the assumption that he is not a good footballer and no club will want to sign him.
Twelve months ago he was being looked at by Atletico and the club he joined on loan are hardly a run of the mill club.
I think he will be in demand and will be sold. I think we will get our money back... but that is hardly deal of the century.

Of course, there is always the chance that he Silva may like the pace and movement he brings to a team and may try to convince him to give it another try , at least for a couple of months , I think he can be sold up to Aug 31st..

As much as I've criticised the lad's attitude for giving up here so quickly he would win back my respect a bit if he's willing to a take pay cut to get his wish and go back to Spain permanently. Nothing worse than a player who bitches in the press about being poorly treated yet is happy to sit on their arse collecting a wage instead making sacrifices to leave.

Can personally see a loan to some lesser intense league, maybe Portugal or Turkey. There's a player in there definitely, just needs to find the right club and manager. Who knows, maybe Brands and Silva are eager to look at him and see if he fits into what they want to do?
