Before we write the lad off by public opinion on here - he started the first game against Stoke - was involved in Rooneys goal by laying it off for the cross and got generally positive reviews.

He hasn’t integrated at all, joined a squad with very few Spanish speakers, not sure of his temperament or how is is around the club, but I reckon he’s been overwhelmed by it all.

Of course he could do more on the pitch, he was pitiful v Chelsea at home pre Christmas and looks out of his depth in most appearances. He is earning more dough than he could dream of - so ball is in his court now. Professional sport is as much about the mental side of the game as the physical & ability side - perhaps there is a player in there. Not sure.

But for the sake of his professional career he’ll have to look at himself first - he ain’t slagged us off, probably doesn’t enjoy being here - but for that, we expected more.

If he doesn’t want it enough, get shut & do it quickly - not many Everton number 9s go a season without a league goal. Big number to wear & in my opinion a mistake to give it to him. Hope he proves me wrong and is worthy of what he currently has taken for granted.

But is eight Premier League apps (only three starts) and a handful of sub appearances in a dire Europa campaign enough to prove that?

We might as well write off the whole squad based on the time when Sandro was in the side, as they were all utter s***.

I mean, we could write off the whole squad anyway, feasibly.
I know what you're saying mate. Im sure others would disagree, but I thought the effort was there, and I don't think he was given a long enough chance myself . You may well be right on giving him another go, nothing would please me more.

He`s got some simple decisions to make really :

Stay and have a go at getting in the first team, under the new manager and earn that reputed 100k.

Or

Sack it off and go elsewhere, which will undoubtedly mean us subsidising some of his wages, unless he goes on a free.

I think he is one of those players who is an anonomyly who people judge as an established player when really he is a young player at 22, who moved to a new country at 21. Davies also gets this treatment.

He’s in a bracket of players like Vlasic, Lookman, Henry etc and needs a bit of slack like those others, with very little between them all in age.

What’s the problem with that, he’s saying they finished the season as they hoped.

I like Sandro, I think he has real talent and circumstances for him and us haven’t happened as yet.

I’d give him preseason here, new start under a new regime, if he’s still lacking here another loan, solves the problem of wages and we are getting his 5 mill fee back.

If or when he leaves it will be more or less cost neutral.
Nothing to do with his post. It's his profile page, there's not one small mention of the club that owns him. He's a Canary playing football for Sevilla and Spain U21. He's a 'kin Everton player until he's told otherwise.

Maybe he doesn't travel well, maybe it IS his age. Wish I knew the answer. I agree with others though, the pressure on him must have been immense, coming in to that team last season.

Bit harsh mate, when you look at Lookman Twitter he’s got post after post of him wearing Red Bull Leipzig gear.

That said things like that bother me to much. It’s all tim pot loyalty in football these days regardless of what’s up on social medja.

I don’t think he was as bad as people make out to be honest, I think he struggled as a line forward, however I also saw Rooney, DCL, Tosun, Niasse do the same all season, we hardly the worlds most creative team. I actually thought he was pretty impressive at inside forward, he has pace to burn, decent technique and good game awareness.

I think we would regret not trying to develop this lad,he is still incredibly young, he definitely has quality.

Think you were looking at the wrong player tbh. Pace to burn? Nope.

Can't argue with that at all. Like I've said, I've never doubted his effort, and at times his confidence looked shot to pieces.
I'm not saying he's a bad player, far from it. I can only judge on what I've seen so far. I'd be chuffed if he came back and did the business.
