In the few minutes that he played you could see the same player playing in the same way.
I am not sure that he actually is a natural striker. I think he may be more of a midfielder playing as a striker. He gives lots of effort, his movement is good but seems happier playing all over the pitch rather than trying to get into the real danger areas.

I thought he would be more of a "Pedro" type for Chelsea.

However when we bought him it was clarified that he was an out and out centre forward. Might be one of those players that is hard to find a position for a excels in none.

He will be forgotten by this time next season. Nothing against him, just that we need players who can takes us higher. I do not know the competition for places at Seville, but he will surely have to fight for his place. Their league is much more to his liking, quite unlike the pace and energy required in the PL.

I reckon it's the culture shock of seeing Williams, Rooney and Fat Sam scoffing fry ups each morning and only being able to order pie gravy and chips at lunch.

Funny thing is, people laugh about the full english thing all the time, but prepared right, a high protein, high fat, low carb breakfast isn't the worst thing in the world at all. And compared to continental breakfasts which largely consists of pastries, fruits, cereals and jams, it's debatable which is actually worse for you.

But then it wouldn't work on all the fat jokes then would it?

Rooney became the best player of his generation (and several generations before him) by eating sausage chips and beans every day. It will be interesting to see if and when anyone comes along to knock him off that perch.

Give me another Wayne Rooney and his conditioning and ability even now, over Sandro and his healthy breakfast but can't run 20 yards without falling over.

U ok hun?

I hope you, like I, are using comic irony. Otherwise you genuinely think that I believe Rooney and Williams eat fried breakfasts rather than poking fun at the oft purported tropes that they're fat unhealthy bloaters.

But you knew that, right?

Alf Tupper used to scoff a fish supper on his way to the track where he then won the Olympic Gold in a World Record time.
