Imagine being sold the Everton dream by a world class footballer and ending up playing for a manager who’s only known in Spain for being a disgraced England manager who lasted a few months. No wonder he wants to go back to his comfort zone. We would do the same with roles reversed. I don’t think he’s suited to us anyway, he’ll probably have a decent enough career back in Spain.

We shouldn’t need him, after all we have the best £27m striker in Europe apparently.

I think this homesickness epidemic has become a bit of a sop for players who can’t cut the mustard. Yes, I understand that Everton is no longer seen as an elite ‘top’ club, that it’s a stepping stone club, but I don’t accept that it is any more homesick inducing than say Stoke, or Burnley. I haven’t heard players from clubs at similar level to us complain of homesickness to anywhere near the level I’m hearing it out of L4.
I’m not buying it...

What odds are we having on him, coming on with 10 to go, bangs in the winner?

Someone is going to ruin the dream now and tell me he’s not registered
