So whether you can hold off/dribble past your man or play through a pass or finish depends on the 10 other blokes on your team? Na

No, but playing in a team like ours that has zero creativity isn't conducive to showing off your skills as a striker.

If we were creating loads of chances, fair enough, but we're not. Dcl has been given loads of chances and not really done much with it.

Sandro has barely been given a chance compared to DCL but gets twice as much stick despite the fact that DCL has been average at best, despite being given so many more chances.

Yeah

But if you read what I was actually replying to, they were talking about coping with the physical demands of the league despite having a smaller frame, so teammates are largely irrelevant

People put too much emphasis on size. If it was that important then Scholes, Zola, Juninho, Silva, Phillips, Defoe etc would never have made it in the Premier League.

It's about how much determination a player has. Sandro, wether he's good enough or not hasn't been given enough of a chance to show wether he can do it or not.

Sadly, 90% of supporters like to either big up or write off a player within about the space of 3 games but at the same time 90% of people on here chat complete wham.

It's just a symptom of the culture we live in.

Loads of people on here were saying Lukaku wasn't good enough for us when we signed him, justifying it by saying that if he was that good Jose would have picked him.

90% of people on here would have given up on De Bruyne because he never made it at Chelsea.

Most people on here are sheep, drama queens or mentally unstable. Sad thing is people seem to think they're right just because there's a lot of other crazy people around them shouting the same ****.

Would you like me to list the number of good small players at smaller clubs throughout history?

Ok. Number one: Dennis Law.

Maybe I got the wrong end of the stick as I came in late to the conversation but I thought the point FTY was making was that Sandro has looked poor but if he was that good then he would have looked it just like players like Silva who play for 'superior' teams.

My point was that it's easier to look good in a better team, regardless of size, as you have better players around you.

Alan Shearer would look pants if he was our striker atm, regardles of size, as we create like one chance a game, which consists on a midfielder taking a longshot as he's given up on any chance of our strikers scoring.

General point is people are too impatient. Doesn't mean Sandro is good enough or not but he hasn't been given a proper chance to prove himself and it'd be foolish to let him go without giving him a chance to do that.

Nah it all came from this mate:

“Shock as small technical quick Spanish player can't play with back against goal against 6'5" gravy guzzling cow eating centre backs.”

Which was a jokey answer anyway.

I’m not having Sandro being excused for being little when I used to watch Juninho rip us to shreds and he was 2 foot tall!

Of course we all know foreign lads can sometimes struggle to adjust over here. But in Sandro’s case I believe he doesn’t even really want to.

What you angry about pal? Other than the baldness like

If you read back, you'll find that all I said was that small players have to play against the same grocky defenders whether they play for a good team or a bad team

Do you not see the difference here?

So we are giving up on a young player who has already proved himself in a league which contains the worlds best teams. A player who has come into a dysfunctional team which provides next to no service to its forwards.
Meanwhile we are signing a 27 year old German born Turk whose main attribute seems to be that he works hard and is loved by Besiktas fans, a kind of Turkish Niasse if you will.
No wonder we are seemingly consigned to perpetual mid table obscurity.
