Allardyce was talking the other day about players performing in training but not transferring that to matches and was also talking about players taking time to adjust to England. Also, he's been on the bench and, until the Baggies game, was getting more of a look in than Niasse, so he's obviously doing something right somewhere.
Finally, someone in the real world told me last week that Sandro was beginning to impress in training, but they also told me Allardyce wouldn't be coming here and that Dyche was nailed on, so I'm not reading too much into that, but they're more likely to be right about stuff in training than they are on managerial appointments !
100k+ according to my sources, he was pretty much a free transfer, 5m is nothing money.
