Not been given a proper chance football wise. Its amazing williams jags and baines can f up time and time again but due to the clubs failure to bring in the center back and left back koeman talked about in august can get away with it.

Wonder with sandro if its just a football issue though.

From what we have seen so far , I believe it's simply down to his fitness . He seemed like a player that didn't train properly in summer and I guess he needs time to get to a decent level of fitness again. Until then , it is better for him to stay out than humiliate himself in a much more physically demanding league like the PL.

..from what i’ve seen so far he certainly doesn’t look like somebody who could play the lone striker role, I really don’t get the shouts to play him there. I honestly think Henen could be ahead of him in the queue based on his game time so far.

Yes he's certainly not someone like that. If you watch highlights from Malaga he seemed to play as an inside forward from the left side of the flank and he was never the one to replace Lukaku of course.

I suspect the ideal would have been someone to lead the line with Sandro or dcl playing off them.

Or Rooney.

You know, I have no idea what the plan was or is.

Muddled transfer policy

Because of the under 21 tournament during the summer he came late to pre season training and just has not been able to adapt to the physicality of the English game.

I would not be surprised if he is going through a mini pre season at present to get him up to speed with what is needed.

From the bits of him that I have seen there is certainly a decent player there but it is about him learning what is needed.

Looks to me as though he could be suited to coming inside off the left; although to be honest, I can't think of a single occasion where he's been even remotely impressive.

One of the worst first touches I've ever seen.
