Remember when we signed a striker to replace Lukaku and everyone said we didn’t sign a striker to replace Lukaku

He cost [Poor language removed] all because of a clause in his contract that would allow him a big move after proving his worth at Malaga, after he left Barcelona

Had he not had that clause he would have been a £25m signing and everyone would have been soiling themselves.

He’s not even been that bad, he just hasn’t had a run. Something is proper weird about it all.

He probably needs time to adapt, unfortunately we can't afford to give him that time with the position we are in, I would have Niasse and DCL over him at the moment. He should be in the u23's, as when he finally gets a chance he wont be match sharp.

Not given any kind of decent run in them team so how can anyone judge him is beyond me. Some other players in the team have been given extended runs well beyond what their performances have merited and this lad should only be judged if he gets 3 or 4 full matches in his correct position. Dcl was given 10 plus matches out wide last year and had done very little to merit his place. Same should go for all the new comers.

this is a really good point. getting a guy who scored 16 goals in spain regardless of price, should have given us at least a decent striking option if not a replacement for Rom. Like you say he's looked average in his games, but certainly not nowhere near the first team bad....

Lukaku would be on less goals than Calvert Lewin if he played for us this season

lol In what world would that be true?

Lukaku scored 17 in 35 for West Brom in his first full season in the Premier League, a ratio of pretty much 1 goal in 2. Calvert-Lewin has 1 in 11 last season and this.

Lukaku scored 10 in 36 and 18 in 37 in the 2 poor seasons under Martinez.

Some serious delusion among the fanbase about Lukaku's importance to our team, especially when goals are mentioned.

I was chuffed when we landed SANDRO, I liked him, I'd watched a bit of him, tough little player, bags of potential & thought it was an ace bit of business.

Then RON had his way and we've essentially got a half-speed player that looks HUGELY outta sorts.

Still hopeful he can turn it round like...

WHY DIDN'T WE REPLACE HIM LIKE-FOR-LIKE?

Who?

LUKAKU - THE MOST EXCEPTIONAL & NATURALLY GIFTED STRIKER WE'VE HAD AT THE CLUB FOR YEARS & YEARS & YEARS & YEARS...

I know, shudda been easy that...Booooooo.....!!!!

Grim really innit because, y'know...take him out of the equation for us and you'll find very few other highs over the last few seasons.

Gutted when he went - idle as he could be - but I don't half miss him now...

*writes poem/weeps for Rom etc...

Anytime we get a decent player some nimnods think they are not worthy. Yet most of those players go on to have careers with top teams ..lukaku stones fellaini to name recent departures. All were dissed by some on here yet the play regualry for teams that are a mile ahead of us

He is pulling the club apart piece by piece and I will not attend a game until he is sold.
