If we really want rid then throw him in the reserves and don’t have him near the 1st team. He can then either agree to move back to Spain on lower wages or not play football for 3 years. No way I’d want us paying him 50% of his wages whilst not playing for us.

(% figure used as an example)

But you'd have us pay 100% of his wages to have him play in the reserves?

You don’t want us to pay 50% of his wages whilst not playing for us but you’re happy for us to chuck him in the resevres and pay him 100% of his wages whilst not playing for us.

I hope you don’t work in finance.

Depends if you think he’d be happy accepting not playing any football for 3 years? Plus having to live in England whilst doing so - which I doubt he’d be keen on.

I doubt he’d have much of a career waiting for him if he accepted that.

Personally I think if he was told that was the case he’d accept a move back to Spain but hey ho, lets just let him have his move back to Spain and we’ll top up his wages so he doesn’t lose out.

im in with this too

I said something similar with allardyce, if the rumour was true that we had to pay up his full contract id have stuck him on gardening leave and paid him in the normal way and said if you wanna take another job or whatever you have to resign

There doesn't seem to be much interest in him from clubs in Spain which is concerning.
His wages may be high but the transfer fee is low , overall the package should be affordable.

If Sandro is desperate to leave but we have told him that he has a future with us then that's that.
If he refuses then he is in breach of contract so getting him to take a hit will be easier. If he refuses to play then we refuse to pay. He then forces himself into a cheaper contract elsewhere.

Wants our wages while playing in Spain and I think he will get it. We will struggle to sell him because of his wages so will either give him away (fee saved can pay wages) or loan him whilst paying all or most of his wages. That's the problem I see getting shut of our deadwood - who wants them ? We will end up subsidising players wages who will never play here.
