Disagree mate. Not that the lad is quality, but that you can see it a mile off. There's been times this season that he hasn't even looked like a footballer. Some of the games he's looked as poor as Niasse did in his first season. This lad is quality you can see it a mile of, matter of time in the right system.
If we are that minted- loan him to another PL team so he can adapt with increased game time. Maybe at Brighton or Huddersfield.
I do feel if these two were coming into a functioning, organised team- they'd of started to shine. If it was based on first season- jags/distan/baines/naismith would of been binned off.
? I was looking forwards to a decent FA Cup run, what have I missed? Now we're out of the cups

Out of all our purchases in the summer he was probably the one that excited me the most, and I'm shocked at how poor he's been so far. But he came through the Barca youth system, was the main striker in the Spanish team that deserved to win the U21 Euros in the summer, and teams like Atletico clearly wanted him to sign him. So he must be a damn sight better footballer than the lad we've seen so far.
We clearly need to give him more time to get accustomed to this country, our league and our own way of playing. My concern is where will he fit in and when will he be given an opportunity? Now we're out of the cups we only have 1 game per week. We already have a large squad numbers wise, with players coming back from injury and undoubtedly new players being brought in during the January window. If Allardyce does come across a system and formation that works, he'll stick with it. With so few games to play Allardyce is bound to stick with the players making it work and, barring injuries, there'll be little opportunity for the fringe players.
I starting to agree with some of the posters on here that the best option may be a 6 month loan move to a club like Huddersfield, where he'll have more opportunities. It worked with Niasse.
Where do you see Sandro fitting in mate?. He led the line well for Spain U21s but they got plenty of support up to him, something we find incredibly difficult. I thought he might have worked as ne if the wide players in a front 3, and I remember him putting in one or cracking heavy balls in ore season. Think Rooney may have scored from one of them. I reckon he could also benefit from playing in a front 2. But at the moment, our defence is so poor we can't afford to play 2 up front.
You know what I meant mate, the midweek cup games.? I was looking forwards to a decent FA Cup run, what have I missed?![]()
Half witted more likeHe’s half spanish, isnt he?
I agree he'll play Thursday and quite possibly FA cup as Allardyce doesn't normally put much effort into that competition. Maybe also get a run out in the heavy fixture list around the festive period. Other than that, I can't see him getting a look in unless the teams struggling and the manager has to resort to trying something different. We have Thursday's game, FA Cup in Jan and any "easier" prem games like the two we've just had. If he shows enough in training he'll be given minutes and if he shows enough in those minutes he'll start. Pretty simple really.
Personally I'd like to see him in a tucked in role as a left forward.

Not sure about the left forward bit mate. I can see your thinking, but on the couple of cameos I've seen of him out there, (admittedly with that joke Martina behind him on both occasions) he looked completely out of his comfort zone. Plus that appears to be the position that were starting to get a return out of Ziggy.
Agree completely mate. I've also said I'd like to see him in a front 2. At the moment I just don't think that's feasible because our defence is so poor, and playing 2 up front would either leave us bereft of width or overrun in midfield. Maybe if the new manager can shore up the defence this is something we can try in one of the easier home games.Maybe have him running off DCL's many flick ons? I dunno, I just want to see more of Sandro, it'd be a shame for us to sell him Jan/Summer when he's only had a little bit of time to adjust to a new country/league.
Think your reading things into my posts that aren't there.I've stated before Allardyce would not be close to a manager I would want for our team(In normal circumstances) But given the position we found ourselves in...so how he's become "my mate" is puzzling. But then all your posts betray an agenda,so I'm hardly surprised.Anyway you've had your moment of attention by giving your season ticket to a friend in an empty gesture to prove your point of not wanting him here. Why your still bothering to post on a "supporters" forum is a bit odd,but I'm sure however often we get good results you'll just hang around wating for Allardyce to fail. You know what I meant mate, the midweek cup games.
Plus your mate Allardyce doesn't exactly have a reputation for focusing on the FA cup. We'll see. He may treat it differently if we're not in a relegation scrap.
Attention seekinglol. It's posters like you that are so obsessed with this that carry it on. I don't know why you take such offence by it but if you continue making snide remarks, such as the "empty gesture" one above, I'll carry on defending myself. And please stop judging me as a supporter. You don't know me from Adam and have absolutely no right to do so, or question my right to post on an Everton forum.Think your reading things into my posts that aren't there.I've stated before Allardyce would not be close to a manager I would want for our team(In normal circumstances) But given the position we found ourselves in...so how he's become "my mate" is puzzling.
