Was worth the gamble at the time for the money we paid to get him, but the downside was that we paid him big wages because we got him (on paper) cheap.

My favourite player. He had a fantastic chance against Sevilla at the weekend that he scuffed wide with a degree of careless panache you just don't see these days. Irritatingly I can't find the clip.

If you look at the goals he scored for Malaga who are a poor team then there is clearly a player in there. Just needs the right coach behind him imo.

The day he was offered 120k a week showed how no one in a position of power at our club knew what they were doing....

The damage to team morale this did was enormous... Imagine going into work and knowing the most useless guy you work with is paid over double what you are (and he's so bad he doesn't even have to come to work anymore)... When you add to that the crazy money Rooney, Klaassen, Bolasie were on its no wonder our team is passionless and characterless....

We've made a total balls of finally having some money..
