It’s ok, they are making a footbridge. Can’t wait to see how near 25k fans are going to navigate Sandhills station with Sunday train times at the next event, recipe for disaster.
That will solve everything…

It won't be 25k using it same way 40k don't use Kirkdale. Hyperbole doesn't help anyone. Can’t wait to see how near 25k fans are going to navigate Sandhills station with Sunday train times at the next event, recipe for disaster.
I do think there is a bit of that going on. 40k fans mill around Walton/town with little issue- 50k+ for the other lot. The problem here is made worse by the parking ban and only a single station within walking distance which makes it feel so much more congested for those who think it’s a quick win to walk to.It won't be 25k using it same way 40k don't use Kirkdale. This 100%I do think there is a bit of that going on. 40k fans mill around Walton/town with little issue- 50k+ for the other lot. I see loads of fans saying kirkdale was walking distance - that’s really subjective IMO, town is 40 mins from BMD which is gonna put a few off I suspect and the surrounding ones outside Sandhills are 25min+
IF they remove the parking ban, that’s a massive help - they can even make money off it for gods sake
They can’t put a new station or extend Sandhills (quickly!) to handle even 10% of the 50k of BMD as it stands, I agree it’s been dangerous to even use it as a test, but alas it’s called a test for a reason.
Queuing up for a train that can hold 450+ people? Not happening.
Walking to town might be the best option though..it can be done in 30mins to like Liver BuildingThis 100%
Not all of our fan base are able to walk into town or to other train stations etc.
At Goodison there are plenty of places to park plus numerous established bus routes
None of this exists at BMD currently and I haven’t seen or heard of any plans to put any sort of suitable transport infrastructure in place
My point is that not everyone is able to do that walk - the elderly etc.Walking to town might be the best option though..it can be done in 30mins to like Liver Building
Problem there is if town is in the opposite direction to where you live.Walking to town might be the best option though..it can be done in 30mins to like Liver Building
There's an insidious view taking shape and being promoted by people who should know better that this is everyone's responsibility to make this work.Problem there is if town is in the opposite direction to where you live.
I would assume many, many fans come in from the east seeing the traffic flow on the lancs down through Walton Hall Avenue on matchdays. As it stands mate it is just ridiculous even having to worry about it.
The infrastructure should have been in place before the dock was dredged.
It's small ( or rather large) things that i find so poor and infuriating. There's an insidious view taking shape and being promoted by people who should know better that this is everyone's responsibility to make this work.
That's BS. Fans aren't in any way responsible for carving out safe routes for them to attend a stadium approved by the local state and rubber stamped by central government.
This is all down LCC, LCR and HM Government.
