We're not depending on him to lead the line for title challenge or to take us through the CL knockout rounds. Martinez is building something here but it will take time, especially without money.

This is shaping up to be a busy day for Samuel Eto'o...As the striker waits for his move to Everton to go through, he's received news that he's been stripped of the captaincy of his national side Cameroon.

Eto'o has played for Cameroon 118 times, scoring a not-too-shabby 56 international goals, but the striker has been unceremoniously dumped as skipper after a disastrous World Cup campaign.

Former QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia, now with Sevilla, replaces him.
