And then we can all breathe a massive sigh of relief at surviving this unmitigated disaster of a season and move hopefully onwards and upwards with the new manager.

I'd prefer we win our next 2 home games this month (as we should) and get solidly into the top 10. That's what should happen. Any relegation concerns still lingering into late February/early March would be entirely unacceptable.

We should be beating West Brom of course, but Leicester is going to be tough. We have no right to expect to roll them over, they are better than us on paper and in current form.

This is now the phase where Sam ruins the new manager bounce by having a crisis which plummets the side back towards the drop zone. Then we will win back to back in March time to relieve the pressure and Sam can continue to portray himself as a master escapologist. Seen it all before.

He does Timothy, I’m glad you observe the fat mans stats like me.

He’ll walk away this season as a hero

Build a god damn statue of him

We shouldn't be losing any home games. Our record at home this year is disgraceful. Their should be an inquest every time someone comes to Goodison and beats us. There's an air of acceptance round the club at the minute and it stinks.
