It's like those who say he deserves a chance to see what he can do, like after all these years and years of him playing negative, dour footy, he is somehow miraculously going to change his philosophy and start playing more expansive attacking footy. You only have to look against Southampton last week, final home game of the season,nothing on the game for us, a crap Southampton, and yet it was safety first once again under him, even though not long ago he actually came out and said that once we were safe we would see a different more attacking Everton.

My nephew goes the game as well, so it makes it even worse. He's only in his late twenties. I hope this isn't the general feeling amongst a lot of our younger fans. Most of the fans I know are of a similar age to me and we all can't wait to see the back of him, even though some of them felt he was needed to keep us up. They just can't stand him as a person and are fed up with the quality of football being dished up.

His post match presser tomorrow will be very interesting, as I`m fully expecting the away fans to be in full on party mode, due it looking very much like he`s gone.

Plenty of Allardyce songs, plus some more banners, as their stewards won`t be arsed and hopefully with the West Ham fans joining in too.

If he`d been even a tiny bit magnanimous towards the fans, he could`ve avoided all this and walked away with his pride intact.

But, no, he has to keep playing up to the " Big Sam / I know best " persona, that he`s created in his own head.

It`s all of his own doing, yet he will never see or accept that.

Don't think so mate, my two sons are in their mid 20's and whilst they accepted him short term they both want him gone right now and their mates all think the same. Listening to the phone in on radio merseyside I'm sad to say it was a few of the older fans who were happy for him to stay another season. Personally if you've seen good attacking football and Everton winning the league title, like i have, i'm at a complete loss why any fan would want to keep him. I remember meeting Mountfield in the Wimslow a few years before Moyes left and having a chat with him, his view was that Moyes needed to go because he was never going to win anything. Ex-players like him and Southall know the score and know what we should be demanding and it isn't mediocre, dull, negative football. The whole club has become accepting of mediocrity under Kenwright and that's one of the main reasons why we need to sweep all of that dead wood out of the club, Elstone, Kenwright, Woods, Harris, Walsh, Allardyce all need to go and we need a complete overhaul on the technical and coaching side as well.

Good stuff mate, as i've have to say that i was fed up of looking at your old avatar, and I think you are spot on about Allardyce. Let's just hope they've got a big enough cannon lol

And for all I have come to hate the fellow he is still a human being and I will take no pleasure from such a public humiliation tomorrow.

To this end I think the club should make an announcement about his impending departure before the game and change the atmosphere among our fans.

Then maybe, just maybe, we can part ways civilly and show some appreciation for his efforts in steadying the good ship Everton in what were indeed very choppy waters back last Fall.
