It was always going to be a gamble, I actually thought it would pay off. Sadly that isn't the case, the people who doubted him where spot on.

We need a striker and we need one soon, I just hope Moyes doesn't wait until the last day to get his man. Both Cahill and Anichebe always pick up injuries so we need more options.

Fellaini is the only one we can count on and he's needed in midfield, he always picks up suspensions.

Given our finances, who would you go for TB?

I don't see us spending more than £5m in this window. The only British striker that I can think of that we could pay wages for, is Heskey. But at 29 he's getting on and I wouldn't like to see him on a long contract. Plus, when the Yak is back along with Saha, he could find himself not even on the bench.

Perhaps bring in a face from abroad on loan? But then fitting into the team mid-season, when you're not used to the English game, is always tricky.

Its a shame ,it really is, he's a class act and proved it when he played the few games for us.

Maybe Lukas can step up. He's 19 now, older than both Vaughan and Anichebe when they started playing regularly, so must be getting to make or break time in his career. He came on as a late sub last time out. What odds him making his first start this weekend?
