Saha Signs

Whenever the OS mention Obinna they always say his position is winger. They're obviously bringing him in to play on the wing which I would imagine wouldn't effect Saha in the slightest.

He can play left, right and through the middle. He played as a second striker for Nigeria in Olympics but he's also played in wide positions for Chievo.

"People talk about panic buying; well, you only have to look at a team like Everton who have struggled to get players in all summer and then they buy Louis Saha - subject to a medical of course - who hasn't been the fittest player in the world over the last few years!

David Moyes has had to stump up a lot of money for someone who's hardly kicked a ball for Manchester United in recent times.

So the window does create a situation where you might be panicked into buying a player to cover for someone who might have a bit of an injury worry or paying a lot of money for someone you wouldn't normally buy."

^ Not even good ol' Andy Gray is convinced about this signing..

Everton take a gamble on United crock Saha after Fergie urges the Frenchman to leave | Mail Online

'I am quite disappointed my time with United has finished like this, with so many injury problems,' he said. 'But I am very happy a club of Everton's stature have shown they are interested in me.

'There is European football for one thing, and I was very impressed when I spoke to their manager David Moyes. He told me exactly how he wanted me to play. He was very honest with me.

'I also spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson and he said it would be good for me to sign for Everton because I would get the chance to play more than at United. He also thought it would help my fitness if I was playing every week.'

Moyes acknowledged the risk factor with Saha by saying: 'He hasn't had any pre-season games and he picked up a calf strain in training so it is difficult to say when he will play.

'He has had injury problems but if you ask anyone who has worked with him, they will tell you he is a top centre forward. What we have to do is get him out on the pitch. If we could do that 20 times a season we would be giving ourselves every chance of winning 20 games. I won't use him sparingly. I will use him at every opportunity.'

Crikey didn't realise Moyes rated him that highly, I would have prefered Cisse but Moyes knows best.

Saha didn't cost us a penny, came on a free according to Moyes. Why turn this into a negative reaction?

Never a truer word said, well said Andy

I apologise in advance to the mods and admin. Ghost call me a redshite again and i wont be held responsible for my actions when i come to your place of work. I could question your loyalty for accepting such [Poor language removed] signing's. We were promised exciting young talents like Love and moutinho and we got an ageing crocked striker united don't want and a south american midfielder no one has heard of. If thats acceptable to you then our fans expectations have sunk into the gutter. Once again admin i apologise but no-one calls me a red shi*e. I despise everything they stand for. Please someone quote this so ghost can see although i dont really believe am on ignore

I never called you a red [Poor language removed], you took that out of context.

But there is no need to threaten me mate. But your unbelievable negativity is just making me question what's the [Poor language removed] point. Your clearly never going to be happy until we are top of the league and dominating again. For me? I just want to be entertained, and I was last year. I'm also enjoying the current week and the influx of players coming in. Regardless of whether or not they are super amazing egotistic knobheads with a fatter wage packet than Rockafella.

Just recently been getting sick and tired of the doom and gloom surrounding Everton sites. It almost got me dragged in. Tell me if we sign Moutinho you would crack a smile. Because mate, its really not worth getting bent out of shape for.

At the end of the day, its only a game of football.

All this signing says to me is we're skint sadly but if it comes off and he stays injury free then jobs a good un..but if it doesnt he'll be a drain on the wage front

He's a hell of a risk IMO but i think it shows how desperate we are sadly

Why does it say we are skint? To me it says we are still looking to conclude some big business. I would wait until Monday evening to be sure. But this Moutinho talk just won't go away will it?

Let me just try and clear this up. Mourinho DIDN'T SIGN OBINNA. He was co-owned by Inter and Chievo, and co-ownerships can only exist for a pre-determined amount of time, and that time was over. Thus, Obinna signed for Inter Milan, and because he has Balotelli (amazing btw), Cruz, Ibrahimovic, Adriano? to go and play up front, he doesn't need Obinna, so we're getting him on loan with the option to buy, great deal in my eyes.

thanks for that mate, that makes a bit more sense, do you know how much the permanent deal is worth??? the kidl ooked the goods in Beijing.
