Sack race 23/24 season

Its a joke, Eustace was making a name for himself. Birmingham were a shambles when he took over and favourites to go down. He kept them up easily, and assembled a decent team this year playing the best football seen in a decade. They have just beaten Huddersfield 4-1 Tuesday, and rivals WBA 3-1 on Friday and currently sitting in a play-off position.

He is not a name but I reckon Eustace has a career as a premier league manager. Captain of every side he played for, players seem to like him and has a very good presence.
To replace him with Rooney who visibly looks like he going full post-playing Maradona is ludicrous. This is new foreign owners wanting to bring a big name in... sounds like Moshiri when he first came in...
It's looking now though Eustace had already lined himself up for the Rangers job, we will have to see

Being reported on Talksport, that Rooney has been invited for talks by Brum.

It`ll end in tears.
You would think they learned from the Zola stuff when they sacked Rowett think it was who was around 6th/7th at the time. dont get the fuss about Rooney as a boss myself, and they are only going for a name after it now seems they are coming up with excuses as to why they are changing he boss

Here’s me thing Eustace had steadied things and Brum were doing okay - unless he’s off to Rangers.
It's mad tbh, Eustace is fairly highly rated as an up and coming English coach whereas Rooney is just another of the Parker/Gerrard/Lampard golden generation brigade who have tried and failed at management. I see the fans have already said a firm 'no' to Lampard.

It was a bad move it's clear fans don't want him there.

Think everyone was happy with Eustace, could see the improvement and after pretty much struggling for the last decade in the Championship challenging for the playoffs with this squad was fans' top expectation. Players liked him. The team seemed to be playing decent football.

It is not that Rooney is the problem per se, it's more that the reasoning for the decision, and the logic were not there. It could have been anyone.

Frankly, it seems like there is something in a new owner's blueprint that means that they have to get an unsuitable star name in every club.

Taking Eustace out is one thing, but the replacement needed to be a name that could instill a successful model. Rooney has had two chances in management and has not done this. Talk about instilling a fearless style of play, is ridiculous when Rooney has been far from that so far in his management career. It looks like the management team sat down and watched some footage of Rooney playing football at 18 and wanted him to play like that. Ludicrous.

He needs a lot in his skill set to turn this around. Twice he has called the players out in post-match interviews and demanded more effort. But these players had just won 3-1 and 4-1 in the games prior to his arrival, so he needs to look at where the motivation has gone.

He also needs to lose a bit of weight himself. Its hard to take fitness advice off an overweight trainer, no matter how fit they were in a previous life.

Gone by Christmas is my prediction.
