Being reported on Talksport, that Rooney has been invited for talks by Brum.

It`ll end in tears.
Its a joke, Eustace was making a name for himself. Birmingham were a shambles when he took over and favourites to go down. He kept them up easily, and assembled a decent team this year playing the best football seen in a decade. They have just beaten Huddersfield 4-1 Tuesday, and rivals WBA 3-1 on Friday and currently sitting in a play-off position.

He is not a name but I reckon Eustace has a career as a premier league manager. Captain of every side he played for, players seem to like him and has a very good presence.
To replace him with Rooney who visibly looks like he going full post-playing Maradona is ludicrous. This is new foreign owners wanting to bring a big name in... sounds like Moshiri when he first came in...

He’ll no doubt be on a bigger wage and will always have one eye on a bigger and better job too.

Yes, Blues fans telling me that Eustace wanted the Rangers job so club decided to sack before he walked, a bit daft if that true as they wouldn't have had to pay him off if he walked
Eustace came out and said he didn't want the rangers job. I'ld be shocked he would have left this season for the Rangers job... sitting where he is in the league he's stock would be higher in the Championship than coming second in Scotland.
