Bit messy. Seems like Wilder wanted to spend, blew his transfer budget on Brewster and Ramsdale. Owner wouldn't increase the wage structure or sanction any other signings. Wilder kept banging on about how the squad was championship level.

The fact the owner is a rich Arab who doesn't want to spend any money (shout out to Newcastle fans and their botched takeover), and Wilder possibly pointing out the squad was lacking (in not the most subtle of manors) doesn't bode well for the future of the club in terms of a rebuild.
