I was never a Bill basher, always seen him as an Everton fan who just didn't have enough cash to really turn us into a force. Always saw him as a decent business man given the amount of money he made through the theatre. I still think all of that is true, but I'd massively underestimated the difference it can make when you have businessmen at the very top level being involved; the people they know, the strings they can pull, how they find a way to get exactly what they want - it's really exciting times to see Everton in a place we haven't occupied for the best part of 30 years.
