Well look at it. At the inception of the PL the big five were Everton, Arsenal, Rs, spurs and utd. Maybe villa also. Since then it's just been crippling finances that have kept us from competing at the top level. So now that money isn't the issue what's holding us back? Everton are a massive club regardless of how much Kenwright tried to divest us of that notion.
....but now we're back. New era dawning.

Oh for sure.

And my opinion FWIW is that Roberto knew it from early on and the team picked up on it as well, hence the devil may care 'tude we saw from the Arsenal game onwards.
Iirc a journo asked Roberto about Moshiri's influence about 3/4 weeks after he bought the shares. Roberto said he had not met him yet.......I think he knew early on too.

North - west manager concentration part was interesting too ...they really mean business

What a great quote from the Russian chap.

Pep and Jose are the biggest names in football management in the world.

Klopp is held in great esteem.

To link Ronald's name with those three in that manner must give him a tremendous boost.

True. It's different kind of thinking where we've got used to. Old regime would have settled for Moyes and stability way behind our closest neighbours.

...but now..

The giant is starting to wake up.

Let's not write off Bill's contribution.

He bought the club when no one else wanted to.

He held on to it, saying all along he would sell but only when the "right" buyer came along.

When you look at how many fly by night merchants have bought clubs during the period of Bill's stewardship and darned near ruined them, or indeed did ruin them, I think it safe to say many potential bullets were dodged.

And now we have emerged on another side, an altogether sunnier side of the street, and the early signs are Bill has done us proud by hanging on for Mr. Mo and his Russian sidekick.

It is early days and who knows what the future holds.....but this arl arse has fallen in love with football again and is counting the days until the season starts ;)

EFC.......the Rip Van Winkle of football.

Lots to be optimisitic about.

Ill review as the year goes on though, three pronged indicators for me, this summer, commercial revenue - a strategic plan and the ground.

Words at the mo count for little.

I'm disputin' he's Rasputin

Just put a beard on him ... Hmmm.
