Transfer Rumour Ryan Fraser

Wish people would stop saying Iwobi was a panic buy.

We approached him in March.

We also only ever made 1 bid for Zaha.

We bought Iwobi late cos he was at the AFCON then on holiday.

Didn't know that about Iwobi, always felt the Zaha pantomime Sky were pushing wasn't the whole truth but I think for many fans they read we're in for Zaha and then we sign Iwobi on deadline day. Can't help but feel that colours Iwobi with disappointment before he's even kicked a ball for many Evertonians.

It would be good if when a player didn't perform, such as Bolasie, that we could sell them without the two to three years of wasting money paying their wage.

But yes I did phrase that poorly.

If we were sure Fraser was going to be a success then it wouldn't really matter that he is 26. Are you sure that he is going to be a success?

I wouldnt touch him with a 10 foot barge pole.

This season he's been pretty average but the previous 2 seasons he was good. 18/19 he scored 7 goals and got 14 assists in the Prem, we haven't got a winger at the moment capable of replicating those kinda numbers imo.

Either a good player who went off the boil in a poor team or one season wonder from 18/19 where he had second highest assists in the league . Trust Carlo over most in here who think we should be shopping with the Top 4. We are a mid table team lads so players like this are where we are at Im afraid.
Also had 7 goals so who knows.

His contract situation + Bournemouth being tinpot hasn't helped him this season, signing him on a free would mean there's less risk involved. We just got to offer him a sensible wage. He's proved he can perform in the Prem so if we signed him i'll get right behind him.

Is it you who calls people weasels when they make things up?

If so, a rare case of gamekeeper-turned-poacher.

Frivolous times.

It is a matter of which player is showing up though. As it stands now 18/19 is a huge outlier in his career.

Rightly or wrongly, I imagine he'll be a signing of ours.

The age he is, the numbers he produces and the fact he's on a free. Just feels like the sort of signing Brands who roll the dice with given at worse we can shift him after a year for £10m+

If on a free and a sensible wage he’s a decent signing. If we can bin Walcott and Yannick off and get another right winger we’ll be ok on the flanks. But if the fella wants silly money look elsewhere
