Ran the Nottingham half marathon this morning. Pretty hilly but it went well and ran it in 1hr36 which included a toilet stop and some stretches as I was getting pain in my knee from midway
Very good time. Yes I remember doing the marathon some years ago, surprised how hilly it could be in the centre, it flattened out going toward the watersports centre, at which point I blew up.

Did my first ever road race today, the Brathay Langdale Half Marathon.

I wanted to do a road race, that was as similar to a trail race, with the elevation as possible and one that was in a really remote area.

For some reason, I’ve never been to the Langdale are of the Lakes before, it’s just stunning, but with some serious climbs.

Helped by the fact that once the mist lifted it was a beautiful day.
