As an aside, I saw Matt Stevens yesterday afternoon outside Waterloo station. I know props don't have to be quite as trim as other positions, but he didn't look like a pro athlete at all. Big ol' belly on him. Looked like an average bloke from the pub.

Bingo. The rules are the rules. If drop goals and penalties were worth 2 points, then England wouldn't kick so many of them would they?
