Royston Drenthe

BS. When someone pays you the best part of £40K a week the very least you can do is show some loyalty, respect & turn up to do your job. Since so many others are depending on your contribution if you fall short in that regard there's no knowing how much effort you'll be putting in when push comes to shove. So, tara Royston, thanks for the goals. Stay on your feet lad.

think this was handled poorly, he was late for training so hand him the maximum fine and tell the lad to buck up his ideas, I remember beckford turning up late to a GAME, a game that knocked us out of the cup, and I dont remember him getting into thjis much trouble over it.

End of the day sign drenthe to a 5 year contract, if he still doesent preform up to scratch sell him for 4-5m and we get some money in for a new signing.
thats a potential 5m down the drain

*sigh*

So he turns up late, does that mean he should be sacked, If you turned up late to work would you be sacked.
a free transfer who would have a decent sell on value in 1-2 years time and we pass up on it.

its worth the risk look at demba ba, how stupid do stoke feel now not signing him up.

He was disciplined multiple times over his short loan period, stop acting like he turned up late once.

So we sign him on a free and pay him £50k a week, what if he carries on playing up and breaking rules ? Then we've got a player who no other club will give us decent money for and you are paying him £2.6m a year. Your 'sell on value' argument has no weight.

And comparing him to Demba Ba ? Wow.

Give him a contract?
He carries on playing the tit.
Your left with a guy that nobody will touch on a five year contract on probably a top wage taking the piss, disrupting the club and showing the kids a bad attitude.
No thanks.
Bye Royston.

When??????????

and your "no other club" makes no sense he had problems at all of his previous clubs yet real madrid still paid out 14m to sign him.

Drenthe = the knife we were bringing to the cup SF gunfight, which was then left in the draw by the three times Manager of the Year.

That'll always be my abiding memory.

Well done ginger minge.

What do you mean when ?

It happened multiple times, it has been discussed on this board plenty.

Real Madrid can wipe their ass with £14m, and guess what ? They still wanted to get rid, hence why he came to us and they're letting him go on a bosman.

no one said play him every game, he can be a game changer when he comes on, worth the risk, and as I said, if he still continues to mess around sell him.

on a free its a no brainer, if he messes around hit him 2 weeks wages every time, if he contunes to do it sell him, simple as

Sell him to who exactly ?

I don't think you live in reality, we don't have £50k+ a week to throw at somebody who 'might' be good for us, and 'might' get a decent transfer fee. (He wouldn't)

Exactly,
him taking 25-30 yard shots at liverpools third choice keeper who flapped at the ball even on long throwins.

they brought on maxi rodriguez and bellamy we brought on coleman and anichebe

theres no might about it, we have seen what he offers when he comes on, particulalry off the bench.

We bought in beckford for free and sold him for 4m and he was no angel when he was here, same could be done with drenthe

He came, he momentarily dazzled, he f***ed up, he left.
End of. I hope he sorts his head out and makes something of his talent, but the chances are he won't.
