They used material, someone advised them that painting an historic landmark would be criminal damage and end up pursued.

This is my take on it. I don't claim to be right on anything. It's just an opinion, a theory.

It's a divisive and complex topic. The mass immigration/Islam/culture wars issue or whatever you want to call it is all by design.

It's not just happening in the UK. It's the USA, Canada, Australia. New Zealand. All the five eyes countries, as well as Europe. Japan is an interesting one but that could just be a red herring.

It feels like the problem-reaction-solution theory is playing out. We are seeing the reaction right now.

The power players want a mandate from the citizens of all those sovereign nations, and they are succeeding (see MAGA in the US). That's how it looks to me.

If that is indeed the case then what solution will the power players present?

That part concerns me.
