Watching penalties is sheer suffering, even when neutral i'm nervous, but watching your team penalty shootout at World Cup, damn, nail biting is understatement

Why does hardly anyone actually strike a penalty like you would a normal shot. Some of those were barely backpasses

I hate this trend trying to give the keeper the eyes instead of just picking a spot and hammering it in. Look at Kane and Maguire pens against Italy for how it’s done

Japan knew they’d lose that shootout. They put everything into avoiding pens and it showed.

Totally lacking confidence in all the pens. Hard luck, they’ve been very entertaining this tournament, and a real signal that European clubs aren’t as far ahead as they think!
