Because I like watching football in general and tbh get more enjoyment out of a match if I am not a pure neutral.

Sure I’ll support England/USA in their matches but I can also get invested in other international teams too.

I agree entirely - but what if Everton don’t win that throw-in because you enjoyed watching a likeable young lad score England’s third goal? The super blues will be furious!

I just enjoy it watching these tournaments without liking or disliking any team

I was in Lisbon when Portugal won the Euros and that was great fun
