The fact that the board found themselves backed into a corner in that they had to sell Brazil’s number 9 before a certain deadline is criminal - and by itself deserves an absolute clear out of the lot of them.

In any sensible run club it would have been a no brainer to keep him until the World Cup then if they had to sell him for a much bigger fee.

Stupid club.
