Dave turns another thread into a anti Moyes/board thread.

I take it you have seen the kid and can confirm he's only in because of his dad?

Or would you see us lose potentially class young kids to avoid accusations of nepotism?

I have seen him play, he is a poor player. The word around FF is he's only in because of his dad, and I've heard that said first hand by one of the academy coaches.

Fair do's but until anybody else has how can they say he's only in because of his arl fella. BTW, how old is he as everyone's asking?

I think it's good the lads with us. Hey, at least he chose us (as it were) and hasn't gone elsewhere. I'd rather him join us than reject us, he MAY turn out to be decent.

We were finishing 5th and 6th, we're now finishing 7th and 8th. That's not really a definition of 'continuing to excel' is it mate? A slip from best of the rest to knocking on mid-table.

We have a real problem if we now accept that as excellent.

We finished 5th and 6th when we weren't selling our best players like Lescott and Arteta, and were using the money we gained from selling people like Johnson and McFadden to break the clubs transfer record on Fellaini (and not give money to Barclays).

Moyes has shown what he can do when he doesn't have to sell players to finance signings.

We have a real problem known as Bill Kenwright, this has been known for many years.

The culture around the club under Moyes is one of piling in people who can be trusted. Look who he's bringing on board in terms of staff, look at his team selections. It's conservative and safe and stale and familiar. It's all those things that a club on the move would fcuk right off as a way of operating.

The culture of the club is one of LACK OF INVESTMENT. Look at Moyes interviews, his soundbites that air on Radio Merseyside several times a day of late - 'A little bit of money goes a long way... look at the business we did in January and the effect it had.... look what might happen if we build on what we have instead of dismantling parts of it to pay for more players....'. You don't sell the roof of your house to pay for a new back door.

We have no money davek and guess what? This ISN'T MOYES FAULT.

Utter horse****. When Everton start finishing 14th, 13th, 16th and 15th in successive years, only then will Moyes' Everton resemble Smith's Everton.

Ridiculous. Everton were in stagnation and decline way before Smith took over. He had a very tough job, had initally money to spend but had to sell them all straight away. Walter Smith might not have been God but I tell you David Moyes, had he taken over under the same circumstances as Smith, would have failed too. Smith had to rely on free transfers an wheeling and dealing too. Weir 250k Stubbs free bringing legends like Gazza in, at least we had that. Don't understand how people compare Moyes to Smith. It was Smith who gave his blessing to Moyes being his replacement, so we have him partly to thank. I will always like Walter Smith. And I'm beginning to like David Moyes even more to be honest, despite my frustrations at times.

Davek your comments about Duncan's son are just horrible. It's LOVELY that his son is on our books, really special and what football is all about.
