How old will Ferguson the younger get to before someone slates Moyes for not giving him a chance with the "Moyes never liked his arl fella" being the so-called reason?

My guess is 13.
 

Everton's turning into a cesspit of cronyism.

Manager's employing brothers; coaches bringing in ex-team-mates; former players who are barely on the staff themselves bringing in sons.

I pray for the day that we get a takeover that sweeps this manager and his putrified set up out of the club and we start afresh with people who just have the competitive well being of the club at heart rather than trying to work their friends and family a few quid.

I take it you have seen the kid and can confirm he's only in because of his dad?

Or would you see us lose potentially class young kids to avoid accusations of nepotism?

What a horrible, cynical and hugely generalising statement that is.

'Putrified'? What a ridiculous adjective. We have one of the best managers in the country who runs this club how he sees fit, who continues to excel despite the lack of financial help from a disinterested and disingenuous board.

Newsflash for you: ALL managers and coaches bring in ex-teammates, who they can trust and get on with.

Stop letting your dislike of individuals get in the way of posting logically. How do you know Ferguson's lad isn't any good on his own merit? How do you know Ferguson sr isn't a good young coach?

You can take it that I'd prefer it if we had money spent in an uncontroversial way bringing in talent on merit.

You know those competitions people enter and they say *not open to employees of this organisation or immediate family* - that's the way football clubs should be operated.

The late-Moyes period at Everton is showing all the alarming hallmarks of the hated Smith regime that soaked this club. This manager and all the hangers on he's surrounded himself with to cement himself in control cant go quick enough as far as I'm concerned. It's what tends to happen at an organisation with zero forward momentum: it stagnates and turns inward. We need a dynamic managerial team. Unfortunately, because of the ball bags who own this club's majority shareholding, that day is way in the distance.

Finishing ahead of teams that outspend us by £150m for a start.

Boasting a team that other richer clubs admire and continually try to poach our players from.

Yes, we excel, because no manager could do what Moyes does, with the lack of resources Moyes has. It's inarguable.

Utter horse****. When Everton start finishing 14th, 13th, 16th and 15th in successive years, only then will Moyes' Everton resemble Smith's Everton.

We were finishing 5th and 6th, we're now finishing 7th and 8th. That's not really a definition of 'continuing to excel' is it mate? A slip from best of the rest to knocking on mid-table.

We have a real problem if we now accept that as excellent.

The culture around the club under Moyes is one of piling in people who can be trusted. Look who he's bringing on board in terms of staff, look at his team selections. It's conservative and safe and stale and familiar. It's all those things that a club on the move would fcuk right off as a way of operating.

We all know whats needed to freshen things up in this league. What exactly could we do to become a club on the move? Surrounding yourself with people you have no knowledge of, who may not fit in or buy into your ethics, would be the daftest thing in the world. Only your clear hatred of Moyes is stopping you seeing that.

There's loads of legit things to have a go at Moyes for. Bringing in a young kid to play a bit of footie with other young kids in a very informal setting, which it is at FF for younger players, isn't one of them, no matter how much you try to sensationalise it with tabloid style adjectives.
