I genuinely believe that Everton will not sell him at a give away price . However, I am not sure how genuinely interested clubs like Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea are in signing the player. Waiting until the last minute hoping to pick up a bargain is hardly a ringing endorsement of confidence in the ability of the player.

That is probably Swansea getting done over more than us, although it will have been a factor in negotiating the price .
