Ross Barkley

...he's fully entitled to run down his contract but RK has done really well in shifting players out. Moshiri said Koeman is 'ruthless', if Barkley doesn't sign I can imagine he'll be told to leave or have very limited game time next season. That would be a season gone at a key stage in his career.

If he is not signing he will be sold as we were told by our manager Koeman. Simple as that.

..I agree. I wonder who will want him and what fee he would command. I suspect a number of top Premier coaches won't be interested, although there are links with Spurs. As we know, Levy drives a hard bargain so if there aren't competing clubs his value might be limited.

Tbf if he thinking of moeny and CL then he not the local blue we expected him to be. He should be thinking of taking us to the CL and getting excited by this. So if he goes his heart not blue anymore and if he stays bonus. We can't really lose.

Limited .......try none
Told to train with the 18s and get no game time.
Constantly sat on the bench , brought to all the AWAY EL games and not even named on the bench.
If he doesn't sign the 100 k contract he will be gone one he summer.
I'd love both him and Rom to stay as it would be a sign to other players but if they want to go then let them.
I've a feeling Rom will be told you are staying one more season wether you like it or not.

As good as Ross I don't think he will start for Spurs right now. He is an auto starter at Everton with the club gonna pay good money to him. The club is on the up. Signing a new deal is no brainer.

Though that deal has to be right for him. No point him signing a deal for £100k a week if we go and sign 4 or 5 players on £120k+ this summer. He will want to be one of the top earners and rightly so. He will wait and see what happens early summer before signing a contract and it may drag on longer than we like.

No, I think with Lukaku leaving politically it would be toxic. He'll get a great deal. His agent has played a blinder using the Lukaku deal as a trump card.

That's my sense also. This is posturing to secure himself a huge deal, which to be fair, I don't blame him for.

If he's gonna commit himself to us for potentially the prime of his career he should get a deal that reflects that.

I suspect we would have done a deal last year, but Barkley's form and stock was so low, it wouldn't have been a great one. Fact that he's now in a 4 month period of great form helps him a lot.

They sold Owen when he entered the last year because they had previously been burnt by McManaman running his contract out and leaving to Madrid on a free

McManaman that must be almost 20 years ago. I can't recall high profile players, in PL anyway who had chosen to run down the contract and the club let him to do so. I don't include old players like Lampard.

Yes defo. He wants to be one of the top earners.
