Ross Barkley

On the nose with that. And it's because Ross is English and they love to stick the boot in until players fade away.

The RS this season have a good record against the top 6 at home. He's been a factor.

But the games they've lost against lower opposition, cup games/finals and European games Coutinho has absolutely gone missing.

He's been there 5 seasons. Won zero. Played in the champions league once.

Good player yes. A player teams are breaking the bank for? Nope.

What I do find funny is the criticism Ross gets compared to other English players. Did people see that line up against Lithuania and think "there's some talent there?" It's the worse generation of footballers I've ever witnessed.

No when there's one who is a talent all they want to do is say he's not good enough.
The complaint has been ross is inconsistent well one bad performance is 12 is a great base to rid himself of this tag. Unfortunately the media particlaurly phone ins have a narrative to push.

I keep saying this but we all really need to get behind him constructive criticism is fine but idiot so called Everton fans ringing up talksport saying he is rubbish & should be sold are a massive part of the issue as are pro Everton local journalists who stick up for him but whenever questioned or pushed back down for fear of going against the narrative.

Not as gifted at dribbling or finding space as Mane or Coutinho, plus they pressed him in threes because he's our only midfield threat-it became easy for them. Seriously don't know why Mirallas wasn't on from the start, as DLC is technically inferior.

That's a very good point, they picked up on Barkley and clearly had a gameplan to halt him running or finding space, something he has done wonderfully since the turn of the year.

Having someone like Mirallas on the pitch give you another outlet, fast and direct. Use the channels and the space behind

Well the only person who stuck up for him is Harry Redknapp. And I said before, Redknapp did the same to Lampard at the same age.

As a fanbase we all want the same thing but most don't know really how we go about it.

Yes. A huge tactical error on Ronkos part.

I don't know why DCL was on the pitch.

It was a poor decision and I couldn't see why he wanted to play Lewin, I know he scored the other week but he still doesn't look PL ready, the odd appearance here and there, yes.

Mirallas ups his game massively for the derby, he would have have offered something different and allowed Ross more freedom from the opposition

Christ, you shouldn't judge a player on one bad game, especially if he is playing in a team lacking self-belief and already beaten before they have kicked-off.

Ross wont grow any further as a player until he is part of a team that wins things. I'm talking about winning mentality. Ross epitomizes Everton FC at the moment. Loads of potential but suffers from self-doubt.

As an example, 18 months before the Everton 85 team were top of the pile, they were in a relegation battle. Hard to believe but it was the same team except for Psycho-Pat and Bracewell. They weren't bad players, but they lacked self-belief. Everton were known as a team with no stars.

Winning the FA Cup in the May of 1984 gave them something called self-belief, a self-belief which took them to the title the following season. Success breeds success. They all became class players, every single one of them.

My point in a nutshell is that Ross is a real talent, but he wont reach his full potential unless he plays in a winning side with self-belief.

Barkley's just been ripped to shreds on mom2 by Sutton and the German rs.
These people are paid for their analysis it's really really poor to simply judge him from one game & not take into account the last 3 months.

I'll say this swap mane for Calvert lewin & they wouldnt be criticising Ross & that's not me having a go at Calvert lewin it's simply a fact.

Sutton is a bell of the highest order and the German is a chain smoking weapon

Arsed, not one bit. Hope Ross destroys united then had a tshirt calling them out

Have you noticed they've never put Sutton and Shearer in the same room to cover a game?

Probably because Shearer cant stand the chunt

Great post mate he needs help & support some players may be able to elevate an average team through personality & will to win he isn't that player doesn't mean he should be cast aside. Let's get to the point we're he has comparable players who are proven winners around him & we will see how he reacts.

Remind me never to watch this MOTD2 again. Another ex RS.... Hamann this time saying twice that RB needs to move to another club to fulfil his potential. We get a dishonourable mention in dispatches too as we are "nasty" to him and blame him when things go wrong. Oh and its legit to compare RB to Coutinho as theyre the same age but hes miles behind him. Oh and when Chapman questioned Jonathan Northcott why he called Ross our Steven Gerrard, he said Evertonians have always said that. Oh and.....kicks screen in.
