Ross Barkley

I've always said with Ross if you edged up his workrate and interceptions to even average he'd be an elite level player. His passing, creativity and goal scoring rate is already at an elite level for players of his age. Now the workrate is improving I hope he can continue to get better.
You only have to look at the likes of Hazard who was terrible for 90% of last season, and Payet this season so far, to see that even the best creative players can have long runs where they look average. Important thing with Ross is that he contributes when not on top form, and that is where the interceptions/pressing helps.

You just need to look at Hazard last season or Pogba this season...elite players off the boil surrounded by internationals.

I wouldnt swap him for anyone.

The most frustrating this is he always seems to take an extra touch, which I'm sure is a confidence issue, hopefully he can build that up and he can be a bit quicker and shoot more. I though today you could really feel the crowd wanting him to do well, I'm sure they always do but other games they have got on his back quicker and easier.

I wouldn't either, not because he's the best player in the world but because he's an evertonian and still has potential to be amazing.

Nothing better than one of your own coming good.

he needs the harshness from Koeman to become the player we all want him to be, he put the effort in today and it paid off. He is one of us and a blue, he does get overly-criticised by some but he did need to majorly improve but he definitely did that today, so hope he keeps it up.
