He seriously needs to take some LSD. He needs to empty the cache inside his subconscious as it's causing him to hold on to the ball for far too long.

We need to give him some heat and competition by signing another no 10 who is mentally strong. If even that doesn't get him consistent then he can be another Taraabt for all I care.

The lads confidence is shattered. He's one of the best midfielders in the country and he looks lost against rubbish like Norwich reserves.

Terrible tonight. Worse than Sunderland.

Unfortunately it's the same old mistakes (mainly holding on to the ball for too long) that are nothing to do with ability. Same mistakes he was making when he first came through.

I wonder if Koeman will take him out of the firing line for a while. Not that we have many players capable of playing his position.

It confirms nothing other than he needs coaching and given some harsh words instead of the constant smoke that was blown up his arse by Martinez.

He's still had an OK start to the season and he's been treated like a key player since he was 19. What needs to happen is people need to stop having ridiculous expectations of him and let him just get on with it. Nobody else at the club gets the same scrutiny of absolutely every touch he has of the ball.

Oh I don't know, I reckon I could think of someone.

It's " Cool " to [Poor language removed] him off now. You could hear the groans from the crowd early on in the game.

Seriously, he needs to move to get away from the negativity of the fans.

Starting to agree, he might do better without the pressure of the Everton fans who expect him to be like Steven gerrard every week.

He seems like a lad who can't handle the crowd at goodsion. Shame

Is it just confidence Dave? If so you'd expect a poorer performance on Saturday than tonight.

For me, it's an inability to apply himself consistently - he's obviously an extremely talented footballer but for reasons unknown he cannot apply himself every game.

He's hugely talented, he's had the mental strength to recover from an horrific injury, yet there's definitely something that stops him doing his stuff week in week out. I'm at a loss to explain it to be honest.

To be one of the best midfielders you need footballbrains. He doesnt have it. Players like Silva and De Bruyne are so much better in every aspect.

His decision making is terrible and doesnt improve.
