a couple of times at the edge of the box, you could almost literally SEE Ross thinking what to do with the ball. Baines bombing down the left, wide open, Ross sees and doesn't pass to him for about a second a half. Not that it's a HUGE amount of time, but that should be instinctual for him. Honestly don't know if it's a case of wanting to do too much, being afraid of what happens of doing too much, or just not having that little something special that separates the Lampard/Gerrard's of the footballing world from the rest.
Really hope it's the former and not the latter. From what I could see it also looked like he went back to his 'nah, ball is 3 yards away, don't bother' work ethos as well.
