i never said he passed back constantly,I used an example That stats could make a player look good even if they passed back constantly.
Your a bit paranoid,are you Ross's Ma

You used 'passes back constantly' (whatever you thought your argument was) in relation to him, it doesn't match, neither does any of the 'plop' (as you called it) that constantly berates him. 4 games into the season, imo he's had 3 good games and 1 poor game. If Rom does that all season we'll win the league.

They really don't mate, there's a large portion of super blooz that will jump all over you if you dare suggest Barkley isn't the next Zidane

Mate, I'm leaving this here because we're just going round in circles.
Ross needs to improve, under Rk he will.
He is one of the most talented English players, not just Everton.

If you think Ross has had three good games,I'll take a guess you don't go to the match,is your argument based on MOTD viewings

probably stated a hundred times over but if ross was a cockney or a manc the way he has been playing lately nobody would have him near the starting line up.

needs to improve massively. last night was awful to watch from ross. needs a rocket up his arse

This isn't really true.

There are a bunch of people that think booing the lad and saying he's crap and doesn't deserve a place in the team are being shortsighted and harsh. I don't think anyone is saying he's been amazing and brilliant this season. Just that yesterday was particularly bad, and that he's been decent, is 22 and has the potential to be a world beater.

Players need to play, experience, and learn...some need to do this longer than others. Ross is a kid. There is a contingent ready to cut their losses with him and a contingent that is more patient. And of course there is wild hyperbole in both directions when he does particularly well or poorly.

Not everything has to be an extreme.

The book is very much not written on Ross's career. Here's hoping he gains some consistency, conviction, and improves his decision making. If so, he'll be brilliant. If not, well, c'est la vie.

I honestly don't see the hyper-positive support you are alluding to unless he has a smashing game, but that's true of every player we have. The moment they play well they're the next <insert great positional player here> (see: Del = Ronaldo).

But maybe it's different with people in person?

Ross went off del came on and we won 3-0, another day del will come off Ross will come on and make a difference . End of day good change from Koeman and if someone has an off day which happens Koeman has the balls to make early changes.

You know what, Ross isn't a kid. This is his 4th season in the first team now, and he's the same age as Lukaku. He needs to be standing up and being counted as a senior player now, he can't stay a timid shy youngster forever. He should be leading the likes of Tom Davies and Holgate by example. They're rookies, not Ross.

MOTD shout is [Poor language removed]. Are you seriously telling me that you haven't, until last nights game, seen an improvement in his workrate, willingness to add to the team ethic (all things labelled against him). Do you actually believe he isn't very good?

And Lukaku goes through phases of being terrible and people wanting him sold too. Until last night it was 15 games without a goal and plenty saying they would sell him this summer.

They're kids. 22 year olds with 4 years experience (3 of them under Martinez) are still quite a ways less experienced than 27 year olds with 8 years experience.

Barkley needs to be played deeper but sadly for him there is nobody who we can drop to accommodate him in that role . He is always going to struggle being played too far up the pitch .

He has all the attributes to be the very best, strength, good feet and composure. I think it's fair to say though that he is mentally weak; the video from the tunnel at Wembley was worrying in that he seems to take criticism to heart and hasn't found a way to use it positively yet.
Not often I find myself agreeing with Davek, but if RK nurtures him through this we could have a layer in our squad that could win games on his own. He's still young at 22, but needs to start doing it consistently if he is to flourish under our new manager.

I'm so desperate for him to do well though :(

He has it in him, just needs consistency.

Always find his movement and positioning off the ball aren't great, though. He's definitely just better with it at his feet, but even then he can make what looks like a seemingly obvious pass a really difficult one.

Against Sunderland he played a nice one two down the left with Gana, but although Gana's return ball wasn't great, Barkley wasn't running into the space diagonally like you'd expect to even be in with a shout of latching onto it. These margins are the difference sometimes!

Sorry just cant agree. He certainly does not have all the attributes. He cant tackle or head a ball for a starter. But if the argument is he s outstanding at other aspects of the game and that makes up for his shortcomings i dont see it. Slows the game down..gets caught in possession.. plays the wrong pass at the wrong time..etc. dont see any clubs lining up to buy him either.

He's still a match winner when he's on his game. Problem is he hasn't been on the past couple games. Best part of this whole thing is that we continue to see Koeman not willing to tolerate mediocrity from anyone. Ross is still one of our most talented players, and I'm not sure how anyone can dispute that. He makes special plays that most players couldn't even dream of making.
